Learning Challenge: Time

Image
I chose to do my last learning challenge over time due to that being something I had struggled with through the duration of this class. As of here recently I did not have a schedule to do the class assignments. This was definitely a product of having too much on my plate at once and putting this class on the back burner to do everything else for other classes. I started off with doing the core assignments however during the week as events and other assignments were due I found myself having to make up all points at once. This was due to having a lack of energy after getting home from work or just a long day of classes. In result of all my faults with time management of this class I am not able to finish with the grade I wanted which is very disappointing. If I could go back in time there definitely would be moments I would have made myself push through and got all the work done as needed and stuck with a schedule. Time Management

EC: Mythology Video- Gods & Goddesses

Image
After watching the first video, "Great Goddesses", it was more centered on how many goddesses of mythology are known to provide wealth and fertility. However they can also be a tad bit sneaky and have loopholes involved in their interests. It was also found that many ancient womanly statues had been found suggesting that maybe the/a woman was worshiped in the ancient times. In the second video, "Fire and Buffalo Goddesses" it is started with a story of these Hawaiian goddesses and how one had fell in love but became angry and decided to burn, with lava, the other sister's things. Long story short it is questioned whether our actions towards the gods influence their actions towards us. I feel like depending on the god's intentions, this could be a true thing. The third video explored Archetypes and Male Divinities. It was very interesting to see how usually in mythology how the sons of a god usually become conduits of their father's attributes. Yet, th

Wikipedia Trail: From Pineapple to PlayStation 3

Pineapple with Sunglasses Pineapple  was my first search due to random thought from a friend! Upon researching pineapples, which are indigenous to South America, I came across  tepache ! Tepache "is a fermented beverage made from the peel and the rind of pineapples, and is sweetened either with piloncillo or brown sugar, seasoned with powdered cinnamon, and served cold." Upon reading about this tasteful drink it brought me to  Street Fighter IV . Street Fighter IV is a fighting video game made into 2008 in which "the luchador character El Fuerte has a move list that reads like a combination of a restaurant menu and...Tepache is one such item referenced in it." This brought me to my last search of  PlayStation 3 ! The PlayStation 3 is a popular video game console in which the previous game mentioned can be played. It is also my personal favorite console to play on! :)

Week 6 Story Revision

Egyptian Sisters There once was two sisters, Chione and Dalilah, whom lived in a very rich garden full of every fruit and flower you could imagine. They loved to spend their time running through the garden playing tag and smelling the sweet flowers. They would sit and enjoy a basket of fruit they had collected, talking about how they wanted to marry a prince and live in a beautiful palace with their own gardens. One day their father overheard them talking about marriage and knew the time had come. Upon the next day he called Chione out from the garden to come meet a guest. The guest was nicely dressed and spoke of taking Chione to his land and living happily with her never having to do any work. Chione thought that he must have been the prince she had been dreaming and longing for. She agreed to marry him and by the evening they were husband and wife. Dalilah was very saddened to see her sister marry and leave the home but still had hope for her own happiness.  As the days
